For this series, I must acknowledge I thought a lot about an original mise en scène. After having seen a few episodes, I felt that the atmosphere was similar to an old tale for children, a bit like the "les Misérables" for example. So I opted for a mise en scène with "instants", as if the main character kept an image album with the key moments and characters of his life. The result gives an impression of pictures that would be cast on a desk. Another originality was that, to give more consistency to this world that is close to reality, I proposed that the backgrounds behind the drawn characters are genuine everyday scenery (meadow, cabin, inside of a room...). I think that the alliance of both gives a very original result.
